A young Indian is coerced to taking his 87 year old grandfather to a pow-wow six hundred miles away, from North Dakota to New Mexico and listens to him tell stories from Native American mythology. In format this is very similar to another Hallmark produced movie, ARABIAN NIGHTS, using the same actors in different roles & merging stories and current situations of the characters together.Although the story was predictable-you know the troubled youth will choose to take 'the Red Road' and remain true to his Indian heritage-the special effects work really well in showing these stories, such as a mountain that turns into a huge bear, the trickster Coyote, and the Thunder God's domain.
