This is a decent enough, fast-flying Sci-Fi thriller, about two people, Jerry and Rachel, who are coerced into becoming wanted terrorists. One is a drifter who can never stick with anything (Shia LaBeouf) and the other a young mother who believes her son is in danger. The only thing they know is that the person communicating with them and telling them what to do, "or else", has a woman's voice and has control over virtually every remote control device, from stop lights to cranes.
In the first part of the movie the FBI busts in to Jerry's apartment, where they find him amidst a bunch of weapons and materials to make bombs. He insists he doesn't know anything but Agent Thomas Morgan (Billy Bob Thornton) doesn't believe him. Then the mysterious voice on the phone arranges to have him escape, which he does--and this is when he first meets Rachel.
There are lots of chases, narrow escapes, and eventually the reason why all this is happening comes to light. I must say that it is interesting, sort of like a 21st version of FAILSAFE.
