In the near future, when the Earth's ozone layer is depleted, civilization has fallen to ruins. In one of the destroyed cities a man (Grant Show) protects his people. When a former associate comes and offers him something he can't refuse-food for everyone-he agrees to take a peculiar job. They are to make their way into a museum like building and get past its defense system in order to obtain all the hidden art treasures. Their employer says he wants to preserve mankind's greatest achievements. But his true goal is somewhat more sinister. Once inside they are confronted by a holographic woman who was once human. Her memories were downloaded into the computer before she died. She tries to convince the five soldiers to stop what they are doing, to no avail. And one by one they are killed off. It turns out that the real goal is obtaining a micro-organism that, once released into the atmosphere, can repair the depleted ozone. The bad guys don't want that to happen. Instead, they want people to buy-and eat-their synthetic food, which will be the only food available without sunlight. In the end the good guys win, but not without a surprising twist I didn't see coming.
