This is far better than the first FF movie, the interaction with the characters already established so there's more concentration on the story and action. The Silver Surfer arrives to herald the coming of Galactus, a planet eating creature, that will consume the Earth in a week unless it's somehow stopped. Of course, the key has to do with the Silver Surfer himself. Dr. Doom also makes an appearance and he wants the Surfer's cosmic power for his own diabolical purposes.
I still think the casting of Jessica Alba as Sue Storm is a big mistake, as she looks too weird with blue eyes and blonde hair. It doesn't work on this half-Mexican woman (she looked far better on the series DARK ANGEL).
Anyways, the movie is one of the better 2007 Summer movies, when compared to SPIDERMAN 3 and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3, and is worth seeing for the Silver Surfer effects alone.
