Pretty unremarkable erotic gothic 'blood cult' film from French horror director Jean Rollin. I know a lot of people dig this one, but I just couldn't really get 'into' it...
A thief runs off with a box full of gold coins while those he ripped off are hot on his heals. He ducks into a castle to hide out and finds that two hot lesbos are inhabiting the place. They don't really seem to care that he's chosen to invade their lavish residence, mostly because they want him to hang around until midnight when more loopy broads show up for their blood drinking rituals which stems from a 'cure' for anemia that consist of drinking ox blood... I guess it just caught on.
"Fascination" isn't an awful film. There's bare breasts APLENTY and a chick going berserk with a scythe. The broads are truely sexy, but the plot was WAY too thin and didn't offer much payoff. If you dig Rollin's brand of 'dreamlike' sleaze, you'll probably want to check this one out, but I didn't find it up to par with some of his other works.
