The fatal event, this time, is a suspension bridge falling apart and people plummeting to their deaths. The victims, er, protagonists are a group of office workers. One of them has a vision of the bridge snapping so when he awakens tells them all to get off the bus they're traveling in. His precognition saves seven of them, including his girlfriend. Then, the rest of the movie is them dying one by one in horrible ways.
There are some new additions that while I understand, didn't quite gel for me. One is having Tony Todd (CANDY MAN) as an ambulance driver who is aware that "There's no cheating death", for a possible recurring character (or TV series?) and a twist that death may be able to be cheated if a substitute victim is offered. Five is the least of the series.
