If you're itching for an entertaining disaster movie, definitely try to find FLOOD.
The premise is that a storm causes a huge tidal surge which manages to breach the Thame's Barrier, which normally prevents that river from flooding. Now, London is covered in water and it's up to an engineer named Rob (Robert Carlyle)to figure out a way to release the water so millions won't drown. He's assisted by his ex-wife, Sam (Jessalyn Gilsig of HEROES), who he still has feelings for, and his father, Leonard, who he's been at odds with for years. The disaster definitely brings them closer together.
FLOOD is a UK version of an Irwin Allen disaster movie, with good actors, great special effects and enough facts to make it entirely plausible.
