Juliette Lewis, who still looks like she's twelve-years-old, moves into her deceased Aunt's huge NYC apartment rather than her boyfriend's house in Westchester. She soon encounters all her strange neighbors, including SHelley Duvall. The reclusive neighbor who lives on the floor below keeps on leaving her threatening notes not to make any noise--and this soon escalates to this unseen neighbor trying to kill her. Lewis' boyfriend (William Hurt) does not seem very supportive of her move and we suspect he may have something to do with the weirdness going on in her building. Lewis eventually discovers what's going on--and it's pretty strange. Although the chemistry between Lewis and Hurt is nil (very bad miscasting!) the story is interesting enough, though it makes you want to go out and rent Polansky's THE TENANT to see this sort of movie done right.
