In the bayous of Lousiana a fisherman's body is found, partially eaten, and the teeth marks are not from an alligator. They are from a huge, mutated snake-head fish that was inadvertently released into the Bayous. The first casualty is an African-American fisherman. A local detective, along with a biologist, are sent in to investigate and they discover that the Japanese are responsible for creating the creature. Snake-head fish are a delicacy and huge versions of them will generate more money. There's an interesting assortment of characters who don't quite fit the stereotypes, from the voodoo witch to the angry Vietnam vet. It's also surprising who is killed off by the fish and who survives. And, like the movie, THE SNAKE-HEAD TERROR, the computer-animated fish actually look good. Despite the stupid title this is an above-average killer animal movie. Most important of all, it's fun.
