A young woman retreats to the family cottage by the lake following the accidental death of her parents. While she was on a date and having sex they asphyxiated in a gas leak-and she found them dead as a doornail when she returned home.On her way to the cottage she picks up a man, who she later has relations with. He seems like he wants to be her friend but there may clearly be something more nefarious with his intentions. Soon, she starts seeing what appear to be ghost/zombies and no one believes her. She does some research at the local library and discovers that on the thirteenth day of the month every thirteen years people drown in the lake. It's as if the spirits need to fulfill their death quota. She confides in her new boyfriend and he is willing to help her put an end to this. There are some decent makeup and visual effects, particularly with the little dead girl, and a higher production value than I normally see with these shot-on-digital video movies. Directed by Jay Woelfel (BEYOND DREAM'S DOOR, DEMONICUS).
