The surviving sister of the first movie, now infected with the werewolf blood, is on the run from a male werewolf that is following her. She injects herself with an extract of moonbane, which holds off the transformation. But one time, after a particularly bad reaction to this substance (which is a poison), she finds herself a prisoner in a drug rehabilitation clinic. They think she's getting high on the stuff.Unable to take her moonbane she starts to transform-first her ears becoming pointed and then excess body hair. Rather than just changing at the full moon-these werewolves gradually transform from humans into the monsters, with no returning.With the help of another girl, named Ghost, who is being kept at the clinic, she manages to escape. They go to Ghost's house and hope to stop the male werewolf.The back story on Ghost is that her grandmother had caught on fire-and she's being held at the clinic because there's no other place to keep her until social services decides where to place her. Eventually it's revealed that her grandmother catching on fire wasn't exactly an accident, which changes the whole tide of events here.The werewolf effects, by KNB, are better than in the first movie-and it's also much more gory. I'd even say that this sequel is better than the original.
