Gordon Scott use to be Tarzan, now he portrays Maciste, not Goliath, in this wild sword and sandal flick. This movie is one weird experience. Our intrepid muscleman battles funky looking zombie slaves, goofy looking vampires, and other assorted villains who really didn't look to me like they even belonged in the film. Maybe they simply wandered unto the wrong set in this Italian production. If you like the Hercules and Samson films, Goliath movies will be right up your alley. I mean Maciste, damn this is confusing. The battles were cool and the costumes here are bizarre as hell. My favorite scene was when the two blank mask-wearing monsters torture our hero by banging a giant bell over his head! I swear it was like something out of cartoons. I gotta see some more of these flicks!
