This is a decent time travel movie, though the box would have you think it's just another 'romantic comedy'. A woman (Marisa Tomei), recuperating from a long string of loser boyfriends, meets and odd guy in the park. They seem to hit it off but leave their separate ways. But she left her book behind-with her address in it-and he tracks her down. He confides in her that he's from several hundred years in the future and that he went back in time because he's an anachronism in his own time...and also that he's gone back in time because he wants to save her. She's supposed to get hit by a taxi and die. She thinks he's crazy. But he adamantly sticks with his story.
