Minimal plot and maximum carnage and depravity are the order of the day in this underground epic brought to you by directors Jim O'Rear and Daniel Emery Taylor. This is the tale of complete crazies running an asylum, in this case a woman's shelter, where innocent women are picked by the Operators to appear on a live streaming Internet feed where they are brutally raped and murdered by leads Jim O'Rear and Daniel Emery Taylor. This movie is definitely for a specific kind of genre fan- think of it in terms of BLOODSUCKING FREAKS meets HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES. Maniacal madmen rape, torture, and dispose of unsuspecting women for their paying viewers [yeah, a nice little salute to the HOSTEL world there!]. There's some subplots referring back to the original HOSPITAL, which the viewer does not have to see to enjoy this installment- including some women who escaped the madmen in the first episode being targeted again. Scott Tepperman, from GHOST HUNTERS INTERNATIONAL, is a producer and actor in this installment as well, and he's the comic relief amidst the atrocities, although, at the end of the movie, he attempts to help give the baddies their comeuppance in an unforgettable scene of depravity and sheer madness that has to be seen to be believed, one that will stick with you for days! Tepperman is taking the no-budget horror scene by storm and doing a good job of changing his image from Ghost Hunter into b-movie madman! The scream queens are all nice to look at in this movie, most of them eageryly showing off their hot bods for the various scenes of rape and murder. O'Rear is great in his role and almost unrecognizable at first as he morphs into character with frizzy, wild gray hair and a beard, and of course Taylor is super-imposing and crazed in the way that Buddy from SLAUGHTERHOUSE was. I was disappointed that Betsy Rue from MY BLOODY VALENTINE didn't show off her hot bod [after all, she did the FULL ON NUDE SCENE in BLOODY VALENTINE- what gives?!?], but most of the other scream queen cast was more than happy to get their clothes ripped off and be play-raped and murdered by our deviant director psychopaths, including scream queen legend Debbie Rochon, who proves that not only does she still have great acting chops, but she's HAWTER than ever headed into her late 40's. Nice to see her down for so much grisly action! Newcomer Megan Emerick kind of steals the show as O'Rear's TWISTED daughter and partner in selecting the women, and she has many scenes of outstanding madness and mayhem, including one where she blows a guy, bites his manhood off, and spits it out on him, if I saw things right! The gory carnal action is on steroids in this movie, so again, be warned- this is a super graphic, underground atrocity with fully nude women, extreme gore, MORE fully nekkid women, and maniacs committing acts of rape, murder, and mayhem. If ever there was a movie that could be lovingly called GORENOGRAPHY, well, HOSPITAL 2 is it! It doesn't pretend to be anything else, and if you like this kind of play acting, you will absolutely LOVE THE HOSPITAL 2. Highly recommended for diehard sleaze fans!
