The premise of this time-travel comedy is that three guys, unhappy with their middle-aged lives, decide to try to recapture a moment of their youth by returning to the ski resort they frequented in college. Also along for the ride is the twenty-year old nephew of one of them. However, when they get there it's completely run down and quite a disappointment. But then the hot tub outside their room mysteriously starts working, so they all get in and accidently spill a Russian soda on the controls. This sends them back in time, to the 80's. The viewer still sees them as the adults but when they look in the mirror they see that they look how they did back then. At first they are reluctant to change anything but soon start having other ideas.
One of the running gags is that the bellboy (Crispin Glover of WILLARD, WIZARD OF GORE) they encounter at the beginning of the movie, in the present, is missing an arm and when they go back in time he still has both...so they are waiting to see how he loses it. It's a truly hilarious movie that definitely captures the feel of the 80's--and that is horrifying. Highly recommended.
