An Amicus anthology that works well in every way. Written by Robert Bloch, this film has several segments all tied together by the house and it's owners' disappearance. Unlike many multi-story horror films, it has interesting segments throughout and a great cast including Chris Lee, Pete Cushing, and busty Ingrid Pitt! Not exactly a bloody movie, it works on a more sublime and atmospheric level mixing many different types of scares during its' entire length. You get some voodoo, some vampirism, a wax museum, and some more fun touches along the way. All four stories get full chance to develop despite their short lengths. If you're a Hammer or Amicus fan you've probably seen this, if not or if your curious but not big on anthology movies, it is really worth seeking out.
