A model, along with her abusive photographer boyfriend, get lost in the English countryside in thick fog. They stop at an ancient looking house that appears to be abandoned. It isn't. While exploring the decrepit abode they witness a man violently killing a woman. The man is in shadows, unidentifiable. They both flee but only the woman escapes alive and makes it home. She's disturbed by the whole ordeal and tries to put it behind her. But has the killer followed her? A suspiciously strange man moves into the apartment below her and she suspects that it's him. In the meantime, though, she starts dating a local artist who has a big secret of his own, a secret of the Norman Bates type. An interesting movie.
