To me, this seemed like a lot of the same elements from the first movie. It's a year later and Katniss and Peeta are living a life of luxury. But their victory has sparked incidents of rebellion and President Snow is not very happy. He tells Katniss to shape up and promote Panem. Even announcing her engagement to Peeta won't fool him--so he announces a new game, which will pit all the surviving winners against each other to the death. So now the two will have to fight against experienced killers. This isn't as bloody or harrowing as the first, though it is more depressing. There are some vicious baboons, bloody rain and acid fog they have to deal with--and they have to survive as long as they can until the rebels managed to save them, which they do. I've never read the books so I can't say how good an adaptation this is but I was adequately entertained.
