This is an interesting psychological study of a young woman (Lindsay Lohan) who is kidnapped and then mutilated by a deranged serial killer. She awakens two weeks later after being found and insists she is a woman named Dakota Moss, a stripper, not Aubrey, the girl who originally went missing. Is she a twin and this a sequel to THE PARENT TRAP? Not quite. The mystery as to why she thinks she is this other person is the crux of the story and it's interesting to keep you watching. Julia Ormond (SMILLA'S SENSE OF SNOW) gives an earnest performance as Lohan's mother.
I KNOW WHO KILLED ME is not a bad movie. There is good production value, art direction and acting but the story comes off as more than a little pretentious at times. However, it is leaps and bounds better than the director's previous movie, the adaptation of the Jack Ketchum novel, THE LOST.
