'Suggested by the story by Isaac Asimov' tells you how much resemblance this movie bears to the original story. They keep the idea of a robot over-riding the three laws of robotics and killing a human but throw out the courtroom drama and make it an action movie instead. And rather than the robot being named Adam Link, his name is 'Sonny'. Still, this Hollywood action/sci-fi movie is much better than I thought it would be.Visually, scenes reminded me of everything from THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK to MARCH OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS, which I'm sure were some intentional 'in-jokes'. The computer special effects work extremely well in depicting robots-and it's amazing seeing these huge crowd scenes where the robots are walking among the humans. This future version of Chicago is very convincing.Will Smith I can leave or take-it's pretty much a rehash of his character from MIB.It is a formula movie, so everything you think will happen does happen and there's no surprise. Yet, for some mindless entertainment this works well.
