Eric Stanze's otherworldly story of good vs. evil is now available on DVD. The story of an unearthly demon called The Presence and a woman who must fight him in his hellish dominion without knowing the rules is at once frightening, compelling, and frustrating to watch.Shot on super-8 film, this epic movie features all kinds of gore, nudity, and alternative-style music. All the elements are here, it's just that the nonlinear structure of the movie, making you feel like you're living a nightmare, can make this pup one tough watch. And that's exactly what director Eric Stanze intended, so if you're willing to go along for the ride, you will be rewarded. Watching ICE FROM THE SUN is like having Clive Barker give you a personal nightmare, and this one will stick with you.The characters burn and crawl like cigarettes as the Presence struggles to beat them down to nothing. But keys are shown throughout, and a revelation is at hand...The action is fast and furious, there's foot chases, car chases, murders, suicides, and unbridled madness oozing from the screen. The production values of this movie are awesome and cast and crew obviously dedicated themselves to the cause. Shot in an experimental style, like NIN videos or Oliver Stone's NATURAL BORN KILLERS, you'll probably want to watch this one over and over, as each view gives you something new and different to ponder.Eric Stanze is the future of indie horror, and ICE FROM THE SUN is part of his trailblazing road to the top. I'd pick a copy up today!
