Considering how much of this movie revolves around sex it's an extremely boring movie. A red-headed Meg Ryan is a teacher who becomes involved with a foul-mouthed detective as he's investigating a string of serial killings. Jennifer Jason Leigh portrays her trampy sister, who is slain by the killer. Kevin Bacon has what is basically a cameo as a pathetic jilted boyfriend wannabee. There's one gory scene involving a decapitated head but that's as far as the blood-letting goes. The biggest problem is that none of the characters are likeable so it makes it rather excruciating to watch.
