A family moves into a new house, where the daughter starts having these 'imaginary' friends she calls fairies. There is this miniature house in the backyard, which looks like one of those cottages from a fairy tale, and she uses this as her playhouse. It turns out that it is really occupied by these goblin-like creatures. The mother puts in an advertisement at the local paper to hire a local handyman to fix up the house-and she's soon approached by a creepy old guy who seems to know a great deal about her house. In addition to doing repairs he also keeps an eye out for the young girl, even going so far as to warn her to keep away from the 'little people'. It turns out that he had lived in that house as a child-and his sister was blamed for the deaths of their parents and committed to an insane asylum. The real culprits were, of course, the goblins. He's killed before the parents take him seriously and by then it's too late. They get trapped in the house and the only way of escape is through the creature's labyrinth of tunnels.INHABITED is a surprisingly good movie. Don't be fooled by the lame box art on the DVD cover. It's very much like a remake of DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK.
