It's the last night for the Yankee Pedlar Inn. Two employees want to prove that the place is indeed haunted before it closes. They are Claire, a young woman, and Luke, a nerdish older man who has an interest in Claire. Through the long night--and unexpected guests, which includes a once-famous actress (Kellly McGillis) and an old man, they ultimately get their wish. This movie brings to mind other haunted hotel movies, like The Shining and there's an undeniable homage to The Sentinel. The InnKeepers is an effective, low-key ghost story, though maybe a bit too low-key for the typical horror fan. Recommended. Directed by Ti West.
