Movie Review by The Gravedigger

Sean Patrick Flannery (POWDER, YOUNG INDIANA JONES, DEAD ZONE) portrays a nebbish who works a desk job at a company that produces Flanges. On his way back from a convenience store one night, he stumbles upon a female vampire feeding and sees her rip off the guys head and leap three storeys up into the window of an abandoned building. He tells the police what he saw but they, of course, don't believe him. Frustrated, he goes on the internet and searches for information on vampires and comes across a web-site that is helpful. The person he communicates with tells him that he must find her and kill her, that it's the only way to deal with the undead. It turns out that the guy, Strickland (Michael Biehn) who created this site lives in his apartment complex, which may not be an entire coincidence. Based on the recent killings and the habits of vampires, they reason that she's hiding in one of twelve different buildings, so he goes out and searches for her. He finds her and is about to drive a spike through her heart but she begs for her life and he leaves her there. Then his obsession with her begins.
He builds a metal cage down in the basement of his apartment building (being the Super has its perks) and manages to trick her into going in it. Then, he proceeds to keep her, at first feeding her bunnies from the pet store, then she kills an electric utility guy and then he finally brings her his enemy at work, which really changes his situation.
Although Flannery is miscast as the guy, he does give it a good try, but the real star here is Charlotte Ayanna as vampiress Tatiana (that is not a picture of her on the box art, by the way). I think it would have been a slightly more interesting movie if it was more from her perspective.
THE INSATIABLE is one of the best vampire movies of 2007.
