This is a movie that thinks it's hilarious but comes off as nothing but stupid. Campbell Scott portrays a scientist who comes to the quaint town of Exceptional Vista and encounters a bunch of oddball characters. Everyone acts very stiffly and unnaturally (which does NOT improve the performances!), including the alien. In fact, everyone is so strange in the town that the aliens decide not to invade. What this movie did is make me not want to rent 'comedy' sci-fi or horror movies for a long while! Directed by John Paizs, who should be smacked upside the head!
