This Dario Argento directed episode of "The Masters of Horror" is extremely messed up - and I mean that in a good way. A detective (Steve Weber) rescues a young woman from being killed by a demented homeless guy, only to find that her face is horribly disfigured. She looks like a shark-like animal. However, a connection is made and he feels badly about leaving her on her own, as she may be mentally impaired. So he ends up taking her home after being unable to find a place for her to stay, much to the dismay of his wife, who promptly leaves him. He even starts to have sex with Jenifer - and continues to protect her when she first kills and eats his cat - and then a child who lives next door. He takes off with her to a rural town and slowly loses his sanity in the process. Jenifer is a fascinating character in that she can seem utterly helpless one moment and then a feral animal the next - and she's totally in control over the men who "look after her". This episode of MOH is up there with IMPRINT.
