A group of men dressed like THE UNTOUCHABLES confront a demon and seemingly banish him from doing any more harm, but not before a young woman is killed in the process.Five years later it's learned that a hospital has been built over this site where the demon was banished-and that the hospital is now closed because of all the mysterious deaths. The team goes there and seals the place, with the intention of banishing the demon for good. Unfortunately, they are not the only ones inside the hospital. A group of scantily clad college girls is there, spending the night in the haunted hospital in order to join a sorority. The demon is able to take over their bodies and has them kill each other in gruesome ways, body skipping from one to the next. He even manages to possess one of the five Shadow hunters, which throws them for a loop. How are they going to get rid of him without killing their comrade? They're also in trouble because this possessed guy is the one who performs the banishment spells-without him they are screwed. The dead sorority girls, along with a few homeless men, are resurrected into zombies with these inverted black crosses inscribed on their foreheads. The hospital doors are sealed until morning-and the Shadowhunters have a short amount of time to come up with an alternate plan...I found the acting to be quite believable and all the special effects more than adequate. This horror movie also moves very quickly, has its share of creepy moments and doesn't insult the audience. Director John Johnson, who also portrays the 'asshole character' of the Shadow Hunters, does a great job of utilizing the film's budget to its utmost. So far, JOHN JOHNSON'S SHADOWHUNTERS this is the best low budget independent horror movie I've seen in 2005. And yes, the hats work quite well.
