Although it's a very slow moving film, which is supposed to be, it is an interesting character study of a serial killer. The man works in a library during the day and also takes some college classes. He seems entirely normal-but then has these episodes where he hears these whispering voices and is compelled to either kill someone or cut himself. When he can't do the former he does the latter. The killings that we see are vicious and rather startling. But not all the killings are actually happening-some are just going on in his mind and he doesn't know if they really happened or not. Trouble starts when he starts dating a young girl he met in one of his classes and they like each other, going on a series of dates. She confides in him that she's tired of being alone and trusts that he'd never hurt her. This freaks him out because he's afraid, with his murderous urges, that he will indeed harm her. So, calls her and tells her it won't work out. She repeatedly tries to call him and even goes to the library, where he works, but he hasn't shown up in days. In the end she finds him in his apartment with a bad infection from a self-inflicted cut. Will he end up killing her? I like KILLER ME, primarily because the performances were so natural-I felt like I was watching people's lives, not watching a movie. And you just don't see serial killers portrayed this way, which is probably how it REALLY is, rather than a Hannibal Lector type character.Check out www.killerme.com
