While I thought the first half of this movie was intriguing, having King Arthur (Charlie Hunnam of PACIFIC RIM) as a street urchin in old Londinium after his royal parents were killed. And it's Arthur's uncle, Vortigern (Jude Law), who has seized the throne of England (not Camelot) and gains supernatural power by killing the ones he loves. It's also very cool how the sword Excalibur becomes encased in Stone. I hadn't seen that in any other "King Arthur" movie. However, once the action begins and the power of the sword is revealed, the movie degenerates into an action video game with cartoonish CGI effects. Oh, and there's a couple of actors, such as Aiden Gillen, we've seen on GAME OF THRONES. I became bored very quickly.
If you want to see a great movie about King Arthur and Camelot bypass this and track down John Boorman's EXCALIBUR.
