While this isn't exactly horror or even a movie, it contains one demon, one catman, one starchild, and a space ace making musical history! If you're a KISS fan or even just curious, this 2 dvd set showcases the early years (1974-1977) of KISS in all their glory. You get some awesome rare live footage and special appearances that are must haves. Having all this stuff in one cool fold-out dvd case makes it worth the $$, if nothing more than to bring back memories of simpler, happier times. You know, when fire-breathing, blood spewing, exploding guitars, make-up, 7 inch heels, pyro, fog machines, and kicking over your drum kit were knew and fresh. The sound on this thing kills when the 5.1 mixed sections come on, like having your own little KISS ALIVE tour at home, except with more beer and less expensive t-shirts. Growing up in the 70's as a kid, this was the ONLY band I cared about. The whole KISS experience of those years I will always remember; the ARMY, the albums, toys, comics, a slew of cool merchandise (the band was way ahead of it's time from a marketing standpoint), all that shit! Even though it took over 25 years to actually see the original band in make-up; I can't begin to explain how that felt, this compilation of 30 year old material still feels fresh and I loved it! I guess some things never change. I never wanna forget Ace's smoking guitar soIo's (literally), Peter's drum bashing, Gene's fire shows, and Paul's energy. I'll stick this right beside my KISS lava lamp in my bedroom when the 6 hours of fun are done, with space left for the rest of the series.
