David Carradine portrays the grandson of Van Helsing, who is after a sect of vampire women that is using the internet to lure victims. On board helping him is a Pee-Wee Herman like assistant and a vampire killer named Karpov ( (Julian Richings).
Sydney St. James (Natalie Brown) is a reporter doing an article on an on-line dating service called Artemis, which is actually the front for the vampire sect. She's seduced by the owner, Anna (Deborah Odell), this gorgeous blonde, and there's some PG-ish lesbian scenes. The vampires need to go regenerate for a number of years and need a human to watch over them while they sleep - and this person is Sydney.
As vampire movies go THE LAST SECT is good and it's cool to see Carradine in a vampire movie, as his father portrayed Dracula in HOUSE OF DRACULA and HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN back in the 1940's.
