At the opening of a Medieval Exhibit in New York City, which is displaying relics from the time of Constantine, a group of four horsemen, dressed like ancient Templars, crash the party and steal the relics. Tess Chaykin (Mira Sorvino) is an archeologist whose father had discovered most of those artifacts. She has lots of gumption, so she steals a police horse and pursues the Templars into Central Park. She knocks one off his horse with a staff and recovers one of the objects. Almost immediately she's butting heads with Special Agent Sean Daley, who you know she's going to be sleeping with by the middle of the movie.
Basically, everyone is trying to find the treasure of the Templars, which would radically change many Christian's believe systems. My favorite parts of the movie are the flashbacks, which are shot with this sepia tone. However, this is a goofy, overly complicated television movie that is part Indiana Jones, part THE DaVINCI CODE and part romantic comedy. I'll take those zombie Templars from the BLIND DEAD movies over this TV movie any day.
