Another movie based on the Elisabeth Bathory myth, this time with a Countess bathing in the blood of young women while her husband starts acting like a vampire. At the start of the movie the couple are respected members of the community-then become more and more evil as they act out their desires. This happens after a local man, recently deceased, is accused of being a vampire. The town digs him up, takes his corpse to court and proves, through eyewitnesses, that he is a vampire. They cut off his head then burn him. The count and countess, realizing how superstitious the townsfolk are, decide to use this to their own advantage. The Count fakes his own death-and then kills young women to sate his sexual/violent desires. He then brings the bodies-and their blood-to his wife, who bathes in their bodily fluids. In the end the turn on each other and she kills him. Condemned as insane she's bricked up in her own mansion and fed through a slat in the bottom of the door, aging horribly. The last shot is of her sitting in filth, staring at her withered features in a mirror.
