It's at least twenty-five years in the future. An aged Logan(Hugh Jackman), who is clearly sick, is now driving a limousine to make ends meet. Some guys from the government track him down and he deals with them in his Wolverine way, though not as quickly as he used to. A Mexican woman approaches him for help but he says he no longer does that. She wants Logan to take him and a young girl, Laura, to a place in South Dakota where it will be safe for them to live. When this woman is killed, the girl hides in his trunk and travels back with him to Mexico, where he's keeping Charles Xavier. Xavier is doing even worse than Logan-he has dementia, which is very dangerous with his powers. When Logan is away working the mutant Caliban watches Professor X. When the government agents show up to capture Laura, who turns out to be the first mutant born in a very long time, she reveals she has very Wolverine-like powers. In fact, she not only has claws from her hands but her feet as well. Eventually we learn that this is really Logan's daughter, created in a lab from his DNA. He bonds with her and agrees to help her get to the location where its supposedly safe for mutants. Along the way he's still pursued by robotic enhanced soldiers, has to fight a younger Logan clone and protect a surviving group of mutant kinds who were created in the same lab as Laura.
I'm surprised at how good this movie is. It's the best WOLVERINE movie and a great ending to the trilogy began in ORIGINS.
