The third part of the trilogy is the best, with an truly amazing final battle between man and monsters. The movie starts off with how Smeegle generated into that Gollum thing and how he became a murderer. Then, it continues from where THE TWO TOWERS left off, with Frodo and Samwise travelling to Mordor to destroy the ring. And the various kingdoms of man unite together to fight the hordes of orcs and trolls that come to invade them. There's a scene where these huge elephants are trampling people and Legolas climbs up one of the creatures in order to kill all the mercenaries riding it. It's simply jaw-dropping. Everything is wrapped up and comes to a satisfying conclusion of one of the best movie series ever filmed. I can't wait to see what director Peter Jackson does with his KING KONG remake...
