This low-budget horror movie begins with a voice-over and a flashback with two young boys sneaking out to explode firecrackers. It's part live-action and part animation, which gives it a Creepshow type feel. Ten minutes later, after the adult characters are introduced, I was thinking how bad the acting was. The group of friends, one of which sports a really bad mullet wig, decide to go camping out in the pine forest--and they encounter a creature that looks like Bigfoot on steroids. For a man-in-a suit monster it's surprisingly effective. And I wasn't expecting the twist ending, which makes it an entirely different monster movie altogether.
