This short, based on the story by Ambrose Bierce, is about a tutor who visits the parents of one of his students. He learns that the father has an interest in snakes and he's shown his vast collection of the creatures, which he keeps in the back room. But the tutor has a fear of the reptiles. He's invited to stay the night and once in his room he's convinced that there's a large snake staring at him from under the bed. This not only traumatizes him-it ends up giving him a heart attack. When the parents hear his last scream and go up to find his dead body they are puzzled as to why it happened. It turns out that the snake under the bed was really a stuffed snake toy that had been given to the snake collector.
