This movie went straight to video I assume, but I thought it was pretty damn cool. I think maybe I was just hot for May and enjoyed her slutty lesbian friend, who knows? This strange little girl grows into a repressed, shy, and strange young woman with a lazy eye. She works for a vet, has barely any friends, except of course for the doll her mom gave here as a kid. Lonely, she becomes fascinated by a guy's hands, a co-workers neck, and a few other choice parts of different folks. She begins to kinda date the guy, thinking perhaps he can accept her for who she is. Well, May is a bit too weird for him, and he rebukes her romantic aspirations hard. Hurt and confused, May gets busy with her sexy female friend from work, only to find out later she's a bigger skirt-chaser than most men. May soon realizes that there really are no perfect people, only certain things about each one can like. Her sanity finally slips away and May decides to make a friend the Frankenstein way. Through murder and sewing, May gets her perfect friend, though even this isn't perfect. This movie is both funny and sad. Watching May slowly slide downhill and be unable to cope in our shitty superficial society is painful by the end. It's not a gory film, but does have some decent scenes and was bloodier than I would have guessed. It might be close to October now, but you should still see May.
