A photographer named Leon Kauffman (Bradley Cooper) loses himself in his ambition of becoming a famous photographer when he starts following a suspicious looking man he thinks may be a murderer. This is Mahogany (Vinnie Jones), who radiates death. Leon follows him to his work at a meat house and then to his hotel. Things take a turn for the weird whenn he goes down into the subway and gets on a train around midnight. Mahogany then starts to slaughter the passengers on board as if they are cattle. When the train stops it's at a hidden location beneath the city-- where dark, sinister creatures come on board to feed. Mahogany is the servant of a species that has been around long before man. Leon is left alive for an unknown reason, though he is marked by the creatures.
The photographer becomes obsessed with this and his beautiful blonde girlfriend Maya (Leslie Bibb) begins to worry as he's turning into someone she no longer knows. In the end this turns into something far bigger than the both of them.
MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN is a great adaptation of the Clive Barker short story originally printed in BOOKS OF BLOOD series
