This Halloween inspired movie begins with a guy at a parked car, putting on a white mask and getting a knife before he walks off. Then, it's officially Devil's Night, with three boys throwing eggs at a guy, emptying garbage and then going to a suburban house where they are thwarted by a blonde girl who is babysitting. Soon after, an old creepy guy (Malcolm McDowell) comes to her door, warning to to "be careful." Someone does break in--but instead of your typical slasher flick, the "Slasher" and would-be victim start bonding. But it's not all that interesting or memorable, for that matter. In the itch for a Halloween themed movie? Rent out the John Carpenter classic or rewatch TRICK 'R TREAT (the anthology film from a few years ago).
