In England, a prep-school student (also son of the headmaster) is accused of shooting a fellow classmate with a shotgun. Through interviews with the police and psychologist (Toni Collete), we're shown in flashbacks what exactly happened to lead up to the event. The dead student, Nigel, is very much in the Norman Bates mold, so much so that it's laughable. First, he looks like a young Anthony Perkins, his character has the hobby of taxidermy and he has an incestuous relationship with his mother. A better title for this movie would be PSYCHO: THE PREP-SCHOOL YEARS.
This is an unintentionally hilarious murder/mystery/psycho movie.
