A small-town reporter becomes obsessed with uncovering the truth behind the Native American legend of Natas, which is based in the Chirakawa Mountains in New Mexico. After he gets fired for neglecting his job he takes off to do some exploring. He finds a two hundred year old Indian who tells him where to find Natas. He follows what the old man says and discovers an old Western ghost town complete with zombie cowboys. He's almost lynched but escapes and makes his way back to civilization. On the next trip he takes his girlfriend and a few other friends back to the ghost town-and most are killed. He and the girlfriend make their way up the mountain and confront Natas, who is actually pretty cool looking. He resembles one of the Gargoyles from the movie GARGOYLES. They end of defeating the demon, admist fog and cheap laser effects, and freeing all the souls he's held captive over the years. When they go back down the mountain they find that all of their slain friends are alive-everything they encountered was an illusion. What a stupid ending-should've really ended with Natas' death. Natas, by the way, is Satan spelled backwards, for those you who haven't guessed.
