This independent film from Germany is one of the coolest vampire movies I've seen in a long time. There's the horror author whose girlfriend is a vampire, the girlfriend who is killing all the other vampires in hopes she'll destroy the vampire who created her, a Renfield type character who seeks out vampires in hope of getting transformed into one--and of course, back to that horror author, who is a wannabee vampire as well. When a vampire is killed his eyes briefly change a strange yellow and the fangs fall out, leaving behind a very human corpse. If someone is a vampire and they kill the creature who created him, then he'll revert to normal (kind of like the werewolf legend). The acting in NIGHT SHADE is great, particularly the lead vampire woman (Nicole Muller, who also co-produced) and director Ulli Bujard did a stand-out job. An extremely watchable horror movie that has a decent story. For info on this movie email Coffeebeans@NetCologne.de
