After seven years missing Prairie Johnson (Brit Marling) returns to her home town in Michigan. Her adoptive parents (Alice Krige, Scott Wilson) want to know not only where she's been but how she's regained her sight. She doesn't tell them anything. Who she does confide in is a group of five very different people, four high school students and one of their teachers. They meet every evening in an abandoned house and she tells them part of the story, which involves her being kidnapped by a deranged scientist (Jason Isaacs) trying to prove the existence of the afterlife. And something more...
THE OA has a fascinating story and great performances by co-creator/co-writer Brit Marling and the other actors. This Netflix original series is one of the most engaging television series I've seen. These 8 episodes are absolutely perfect. This show is way up there with SENSE 8.
