A family is living in India when the wife (Sarah Wayne Callies of THE WALKING DEAD) gets in a car accident with the two kids. They drive off into the water and she's only able to save the young daughter, not her son. Her Indian housekeeper tells her of a way to communicate with him and have some closure about the incident. She goes to a ruined temple in the jungle and, against the woman's warning, opens this door. This releases his spirit back into the world but he's changed, now malevolent. Pets and plants begin to die-and a few people as well, before the mother realizes what's going on and tries to correct her horrible mistake.
Basically, this is a re-telling of "The Monkey's Paw" story, but it's a good one and worth checking out.
