A 3,000 year old genie is awakened from his magic lamp and causes havoc to the life of a teenaged girl, not to mention slaughtering a dozen of her peers. After a party she and her friends decide, for the fun of it, to hide out in the museum where her father works (influence of the genie). Here, the monster starts to hunt them down. Strikingly similar to the recent WISHMASTER movies in that the djinn is psychically connected to a young woman and grants wishes that ultimately turn out bad, this movie is nevertheless a victim of becoming just another slahser movie from the 80's. Which isn't such a bad thing...
