Another great 'animals on the rampage' movie from the 70's, this time about a pack of feral dogs on a small island. They've been left behind by tourists to fend for food on their own-but after eating everything on the island the only thing left is the people. Joe Don Baker is a marine biologist living there with his son-and he becomes the leader of the miniscule town as the dogs become more aggressive. It's an interesting movie because you feel sorry for the dogs-their predicament was caused by their irresponsible owners-so they're just doing what they can to survive. At the same time they are portrayed as ferocious creatures-and as a result a great deal of tension and suspense is conveyed throughout the film.
