I knew when I saw Joe Don Baker in the lead role that this was gonna be a treat, disappointed I was not. This Pack is one of the better dogs vs. man horror films I've seen. I motley crew of mangy mutts manages to maul the meandering members of a mighty sorry looking excuse for an island. It seems the abandoned canines have banded together and human dog food suits their tastes best. Some decent attacks and Baker's ever-present effervescence make The Pack packed full of fun. The dogs corner the common-sense challenged residents in a house and do their best to get in and take a bite out of them. Joe Don and a few others fight their way out and eventually roast what's left of the pack of mongrels in the biggest Chinese barbeque this side of your favorite Chinese buffet. It's worth a shot, especially for nature-gone-amuck fans. This dog's bite is worse than its bark!
