Horror has found a new genre to exploit with the success of the paranormal activity franchise. First came scream and the teen thrillers in the mid 90's and then the Japanese wave of ring like pictures in the early 2000's. Now we have pov style cameras telling us the action and scaring us at every turn. It works scaring me since I saw the first movie years ago when it steamrolled Hollywood like Blair witch project. Paranormal activity 4 is a sequel to number two picking up with Katey and the toddler she abducted. As far as story goes there is not much here but after four movies of waiting for the scare still puts goosebumps on me. They play around with new cameras and even Xbox Kinect technology to showcase the poltergeist. Four films in you know what to expect but im still having fun watching. As always the ending leaves more to be desired but Paranormal Activity 4 is a must for fans of the series.
